Solihull MBC Wildlife Ways working in Marston Green from 29 June

Solihull MBC Wildlife Ways’ contractors will be working in Marston Green from week commencing 29th June 2020 for approximately 18 weeks.  The contractors will start with an inspection of existing foliage and where necessary trimming back on the section of Route D between Bickenhill Road/Coleshill Heath Road and Chester Road.  Following this the team will begin works to widen the footway.

During these works there will be pedestrian diversions and traffic management in place to ensure people are able to access local and essential amenities and where necessary their properties. If they require any assistance, they are advised to speak to a member of the team on site who will help as required.

All contractors brief their operatives on Health and Safety for COVID-19, addressing best practice and also supplying personal protective equipment that can be deployed above and beyond what is already issued (face masks, safety glasses and gloves) if required, but the construction processes have been revised to mitigate such a requirement.

Solihull MBC is monitoring the ongoing works to ensure that both their and HM Government’s standards are adhered to and they will constantly review the ongoing situation and alter their working practices to suit.
