HS2 Works: Traffic Rerouting around Northway Island begins 26 April

Traffic rerouting around Northway Island will now commence from 5am on Monday 26 April for four weeks.

During the next four weeks, short sections of Northway Island will be closed. As a result, road users will no longer be able to travel around the whole of the Island.

Depending on your direction of travel, you may be redirected from Northway Island and back to access routes either side of the M42. Direction of travel along the B4438, A452 and Northway will be unaffected, and you will still be able to access all routes in the area.

To safely carry out activities in preparation for traffic rerouting to commence on Monday 26 April, sections of the B4438 will also be closed from 12 midnight to 2am on Monday 26 April. A signed diversion route will be in place for drivers.
