Notice of Casual Vacancies – 2 x Parish Councillors

Would you like to get involved in making decisions about your community and make a contribution to the area in which you live or work? If so, Bickenhill & Marston Green Parish Council is looking to fill by co-option two vacancies – one in the Merstone Ward and the other in the Marston Green Ward.

The Parish Council meet in Marston Green Parish Hall at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month (except August). No special qualification is required to be a councillor and training will be available to help new councillors understand the responsibilities of the role.

If you would like to join the Parish Council, please contact the Clerk to request an application form, either by phone on 0121 779 4040 or by email at [email protected]. Completed applications should be returned to the Clerk by midday on Friday 24 December. Interviews will take place in January 2022.

Requirements

  • You must not be disqualified from standing as a Councillor
  • You must be a minimum of 18 years of age and eligible to vote
  • You must have lived or worked in the parish (or within 3 miles of the parish boundary) for 12 months or more
