Notice of Casual Vacancies: 2 x Parish Councillors

Would you like to get involved in making decisions about your community and make a
contribution to the area in which you live or work? If so, Bickenhill & Marston Green Parish
Council is looking to fill by co-option two vacancies – one in the Merstone Ward and the
other in the Blackfirs Ward.


The Parish Council meet in Marston Green Parish Hall on the first Wednesday of each
month (except August) at 19:30. No special qualification is required to be a councillor and
training will be available to help new councillors understand the responsibilities of the role.
If you think you’d like to join the Parish Council, then please contact the Clerk to request an
application form on 0121 779 4040 or by email to [email protected]. Completed application
forms should be returned to the Clerk by midday on Friday, 13 January 2023. Interviews will
take place in late January/early February 2023.

Requirements:
You must be a British National or a Citizen of the Commonwealth or European Union
• You must be a minimum of 18 years of age and eligible to vote
• You must have lived or worked in the parish of Bickenhill & Marston Green (or within 3
miles of the parish boundary) for 12 months or more
• You must not be disqualified from standing as a councillor
