Bickenhill & Marston Green Parish Council is looking to co-opt two casual vacancies to join the Parish Council. 

If you are interested and wish to contribute to your local community, then please  apply by completing an application form which is available from the Parish Clerk. 

Completed application forms should be sent to the Parish Clerk at the Parish Council Office, Recreation Ground, Bickenhill Road, Marston Green, B37 7ER or emailed to [email protected] by  Friday, 23rd October 2020. 

Requirements: 

a) The applicant must be a minimum of 18 years of age and their name must appear on the current Register of Electors 

and 

b) The applicant should during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date have resided in or within three miles of the Parish 

or 

c) The applicant’s only place of work during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date was within the Parish. 

d) The applicant must not be disqualified from standing as a Councillor. 

Applicants will be required to attend an interview either via video conference or a face-to-face meeting. 

Public election cannot be held until the year of 2023 but, for the interim period, election to the aforesaid Council will be voted for by the existing Councillors. 

Please note that the role of a Parish Councillor is voluntary and unpaid.
