As part of the habitat improvements being carried out as part of the Wildlife Ways project, an opportunity has arisen to carry out important maintenance works to woodland in Marston Green Park. It is proposed these works will take place during the week commencing Monday 11 January (subject to weather and contractor’s programming).
The benefits of this work, which will involve thinning of the tree canopy, will be to allow more natural light on to the woodland floor which will encourage healthier and more diverse species development and improved habitats. A letter to nearby residents and plan of the woodland areas to be maintained is attached.
Please note that all contractors brief their operatives on Health and Safety for Covid-19. Solihull Council is monitoring the works to ensure that government and council standards and guidelines are followed.
