As part of the preparation works for future construction of the HS2 Interchange Station and railway route, LM (Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons), working on behalf of HS2, are undertaking roadside environmental works, and remodelling and improving sections of the existing road network in the area.
To safely carry out works, they will install traffic measures when necessary.
Subject to obtaining the relevant consent, LM will install a range of temporary road and lane closures in the area, including:
- Lane closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday 31 August to Friday 24 September, along a short section of the A446 northbound near Northway Island. These traffic measures will be installed as and when required during this timeframe depending on the progress of our programme.
- Lane closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday 31 August to Tuesday 7 September, along the A452 northbound towards Northway Island.
- Road closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday 31 August to Tuesday 7 September, on Packington Lane.
These traffic measures will be carried out in conjunction with a new direction of travel for road users around Northway Island, which will commence on Monday 23 August.
