Skanska will be carrying out major works around Clock Island as part of M42 Junction 6 Project. This requires a series of temporary road closures and speed restrictions which will be in place until May 2023.

A45 Coventry Road (Westbound Entry Slip Road), Bickenhill – from Catherine de Barnes Lane to A45 Coventry Road from 20 February 2023 at 00:00hrs until 1 May 2023 at 23:59hrs. Alternative routes signed via Clock Interchange, A45 Coventry Road Eastbound, to travel around the roundabout at M42 Jct.6 to return on A45 Coventry Road Westbound.

A45 Coventry Road / Clock Interchange (Quadrant 1) from 20 February 2023 until 22 February 2023 (22:00hrs to 05:00hrs each night). (Wednesday 22nd reserved for contingency)

A45 Coventry Road (Westbound Exit Slip Road), Bickenhill – between A45 Coventry Road and Clock Interchange. Alternative routes signed via Airport Freeflow Link (Viking Road), Airport Way and Bickenhill Lane.

Catherine de Barnes Lane, Bickenhill – from its junction with St Peters Lane North to its junction with Clock Interchange. Alternative routes signed via Hampton Lane, Damson Parkway and A45 Coventry Road Eastbound to Clock Interchange. Vice Versa for the opposite direction.

Clock Interchange, Bickenhill* – from its junction with the A45 Coventry Road Eastbound Entry Slip to its junction with the A45 Coventry Eastbound Exit Slip. Alternative routes signed via A45 Coventry Road Eastbound, to Bickenhill interchange to return on A45 Coventry Road Westbound.

Bickenhill Lane (Southbound), Bickenhill – from its junction Trinity Park to its junction with Clock Interchange. Alternative routes signed via Bickenhill Lane, Airport Way, Airport Free Flow Link, A45 Coventry Road Eastbound to return at Bickenhill Interchange on A45 Coventry Road Westbound to Damson Parkway, Hampton Lane and Catherine de Barnes Lane.

Clock Interchange, Bickenhill – from its junction with Bickenhill Lane to its junction with Catherine de Barnes Lane. Alternative routes signed via Bickenhill Lane, Airport Way, Airport Free Flow Link, A45 Coventry Road Eastbound to return at Bickenhill Interchange on A45 Coventry Road Westbound to Damson Parkway, Hampton Lane and Catherine de Barnes Lane.

• Bickenhill Lane, Bickenhill – from Trinity Park to its junction with Airport Way and Viking Road.
  A45 Coventry Road (Westbound), Bickenhill – a point 120m south-west from the marked Chevrons to Clock Interchange.
• Catherine de Barnes Lane, Bickenhill – from its northern most junction with St Peters Lane to Clock interchange.
• St Peters Lane, Bickenhill – from its ‘Give Way’ sign at the junction of Catherine de Barnes Lane to Clock Interchange.
• A45 Coventry Road (Eastbound Exit Slip Road) – from the end of the Chevron markings to Clock Interchange.
• A45 Coventry Road (Eastbound and Westbound Entry Slip Roads) – from Clock Interchange to the end of the Chevron Markings.

Access cannot be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of closure.
