Wildlife Ways’ contractors are laying wildflower turf along the central reservations of Bickenhill Parkway and airport which was delayed by the wet weather in February and March. 

Turf laying and seeding is scheduled at the roundabout island and adjacent verge of Chester Road and Coleshill Heath Road. Elsewhere, they will add primroses to some of the bulb planted areas, these include in a few occasional areas along Bickenhill Parkway/ Road, Coleshill and Coleshill Heath Roads, and Elmdon Lane. Maintenance activities are being carried out only where absolutely necessary to protect and nurture the seeding and planting. 

Solihull MBC has reviewed its contractors’ latest risk assessment of current site practices and they are satisfied that these working practices comply with the social distancing requirements as set out by HM Government.
