A range of emergency cycling and walking measures to aid social distancing and improve access to local businesses, schools and shops across the borough, were discussed at Councillor Ken Hawkins’ decision making session on 28.05.2020 at 6pm.
The report looked at a number of temporary measures that could be taken to support a phased approach to kickstart economic recovery in line with Government policy.
Councillor Ken Hawkins, Cabinet Member for Environment & Highways, said:
“I look forward to an informed discussion (on 28 May) as I consider some temporary emergency measures. These proposals are driven by the need for social distancing as well as a way for us to improve cycling and walking provision in the borough.
“I can reassure everyone that any schemes discussed on Thursday will be subject to consultation with those communities and businesses affected before being implemented.
