Earlier in the month, LM were planning to install the following temporary traffic measures to carry out roadside environmental works on behalf of HS2:
- Lane closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday 31 August to Tuesday 7 September, along the A452 northbound towards Northway Island
- Road closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday 31 August to Tuesday 7 September, along Packington Lane
As originally planned, LM are continuing with the lane closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday 31 August to Friday 24 September, along a short section of the A446 northbound near Northway Island.
In addition, there will be temporary overnight lane closures along the A452 near Stonebridge Island in September being carried out by LM (Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons) on behalf of HS2.
As part of the preparation works for future construction of the HS2 Interchange Station and railway route, they are undertaking environmental surveys in the Interchange area. To safely carry out their works, they will install traffic measures when necessary.
Subject to obtaining the relevant consents, LM will install temporary, phased overnight lane closures along short sections of the A452 northbound and southbound near Stonebridge Island from 7pm to 7.30am on Thursday 9 September, Monday 13 September and Monday 20 September.
