Kier, on behalf of National Highways, will carry out resurfacing work on the A45 Ryton roundabout. This work is necessary due to deterioration of the carriageway.
Kier will also lay a material to increase the roads surface friction, repair existing carriageway defects and renew the road markings and studs. The completed work will provide a smoother surface and safer road, including clearer road markings.
Work will take place between Wednesday 22 to Tuesday 28 June 2022 between 7pm and 6am for a total of 4 nights (excluding Saturday and Sunday).
To carry out work safely, there will be a total closure of the A45 Eastbound (London Road) from the exit slip of A423 Oxford Road and A45 Westbound (London Road) at Stretton-on-Dunsmore. The A45 will remain open as usual during the day outside of work hours (see diversions below):
During full carriageway closures, fully signed diversion routes will be provided and an Emergency access route will be available at all times for emergency vehicles for the duration of the works.
National Highways apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption to those living close to the work.
406 affected businesses and residents have received the following letter outlining the works (click the image to view the full letter and a map of the diversion).
