bmJV (working on behalf of National Highways) are completing enabling works which include vegetation clearance, surveys, drainage and speed camera installation, and the upgrade to the central reservation.

To safeguard motorists and their workforce while minimising disruption, bmJV need to temporarily close some lanes, in 4-kilometre (2.4 mile) sections.

These closures will take place at night when the roads are quietest (9pm to 6am). Signage will remain in place to inform and remind motorists of these closures:

10-14 October: M40 junction 16 to M42 junction 3a – Lanes 1 and 2

17-21 October: M42 junction 3a to M40 junction 16 – Lanes 1 and 2

31 October – 18 November : M42 junction 2 to 3a – Lanes 1 and 2

21 November – 9 December: M42 junction 3a to 4 – Lanes below signal 1, 2 & 3

Please note: these closures may be cancelled due to poor weather or for operational reasons.
