The M42 junction 6 scheme needs to close the A45 Westbound carriageway near Clock Interchange for two nights.
A section of the A45 westbound carriageway near clock interchange will be closed on:
- Friday 24 September, from 10pm to 5.30am
- Saturday 25 September, from 10pm to 5.30am
This full carriageway closure is needed so that contractors can safely install narrow lanes. This work includes fitting safety barriers and temporary white lines.
These narrow lanes are needed to make it safe for workers building the M42 junction 6 improvement scheme, so there’s a barrier between live traffic and our team. They’ll be in place until 13 June 2022, removed for the Commonwealth Games, then reinstalled after 15 August 2022.
When the road is closed, the diversion route which will take traffic via the B4438 Bickenhill Parkway, onto the B4102 and back onto the A45 westbound will be clearly signposted.
The A45 Eastbound carriageway will remain open as normal.
