On 14 December 2022, Skanska successfully opened a new footbridge across the A45 near Birmingham Airport, providing a safer and more accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists and replacing the previous crossing point at the busy and congested Clock Interchange roundabout.

Their next task will be to enable the realignment and connection of Catherine de Barnes Lane onto a new 38.6m long bridge (BR04) which will span the new A4545 link road. To allow them to complete this safely, Catherine de Barnes Lane (North) will be closed from 10pm on Sunday 15 January 2023 to 10pm on Tuesday 7 February 2023.
