M42 J6 Works: Clock Interchange Roundabout Upgrade 10-13 July

Skanska are starting the next phase of their work to upgrade the Clock Interchange roundabout. To do this, concrete barriers are being moved to allow upgrade work on other areas of the roundabout to take place. Contractors need to close the roundabout overnight to allow their teams to work safely and enable work to be completed.

Note the closures will be removed outside these times.

Closure 1 – 10th July & 11th July, 10pm – 5am: A45 Eastbound exit slip road

Closure 2 – 12th & 13th July, 10pm-5am: A45 west bound exit slip road

Once the traffic management is in place, work will include:

  • earthworks
  • installing new drainage
  • renewal of street lighting and traffic signals
  • bridge deck waterproofing
  • installation of kerbing
  • resurfacing work

Please note: The airport link road will remain open, enabling passengers to travel from the M42 Junction 6 to the airport.
