Solihull Council is opening a second COVID-19 Community Testing Hub in Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre, next to the bus interchange.
This follows the successful launch of its first hub in Solihull town centre earlier this month.
The Chelmsley Wood Hub opens on Saturday 29 May and like its counterpart will be open seven days a week with the following opening hours:
Monday-Friday – 8:00am-5:30pm
Saturday – 9:30am-4:30pm
Sunday – 10:00am-3:30pm
The Hubs allow residents to get rapid, COVID tests, either by taking one there and then (under 18’s will need a parent or guardian with them) or by collecting a supply of tests to do at home.
This walk-in service is for people without COVID symptoms. No appointment is required – simply turn up during opening hours and speak to a member of staff who can guide you through the testing process.
If you have any symptoms, you MUST book a PCR test here instead.
The Council will be visiting local retailers over the weekend to discuss our testing offer, encouraging staff and customers to visit the Hub and test regularly.
If you need to contact either of the Hubs for a test result or general test enquiries, please phone 07554 225531 (line open during the above opening hours).
Remember to wear a face covering (unless exempt) and maintain social distancing when entering the Hub. You may have to queue, so please follow the signs of where to do this.
